May 1st to 4th, 2019 Summer Academy
Summer Academy of Leadership & Governance was organized by Dr. A.K. Tharien Chair of ICSA, from May 1st to 4th, 2019 at ICSA Paripurna Centre, Manapakkam. 24 participants from across the South of India attended the program representing 4 regional locations (Kerala, Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu). The participants were nominated by the following institutions Karnataka Theological College, Mangalore, Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Church Growth Missionary Movement – Odisha, K.U.T. Seminary, Kerala, Bethal Bible College, Madras Theological Seminary & College, OCTC, Gopalpur-on-sea, Odisha, Andhra Christian College, Guntur, Lady Doak College, Stella Maris & Women’s Christian Collage WCC.
Dr. Moses P. Manohar, the Executive Director of ICSA officially welcomed the participants. The program was inaugurated with a few words of encouragement about learning our rights through the understanding of the Constitution of India and the role of citizens that motivated the participants for the sessions to follow. Dr. Krubha Lily Elizabeth ‘Management Of Time & Talents’, Dr. Aiswarya Rao (Disability Rights Activist) ‘Empowerment of PWD’s & Role of the Government’, Mrs.Anitha Santharaj (Community Partnership Manager IJM) ‘The Role of International Justice Mission in India – Human Trafficking & Bonded Labor’, Rev. Dr. S. Robertson (Principle of Bethel Bible College) ‘Hindu Understanding of Equality’ and Dr Jagat R Santra (Principal OCT College Odisha) ‘Call for Action’. Mr. Uday Isaac Gnanadason was the Program Coordinator ICSA - Dr.A.K.Tharien Chair for Reconciliation.
