Summer Academy of Leadership & Governance was organized by Dr. A.K. Tharien Chair of ICSA, from May 1st to 4th, 2019 at ICSA Paripurna Centre, Manapakkam. 24 participants from across the South of India attended the program representing 4 regional locations (Kerala, Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu). The 24 participants had been officially named by the following institutions –the Karnataka Theological College, Mangalore; Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai; Church Growth Missionary Movement, Odisha; Kerala United Theological Seminary (K.U.T.), Kerala; Bethel Bible College and Madras Theological Seminary and College, Chennai; Oddisha Theological College (OCTC ) Gopalpur-on-sea, Odisha; Andhra Christian College, Guntur; Lady Doak College, Madurai; and Stella Maris College and Women's Christian College (WCC), Chennai.
Dr. Moses P. Manohar, the Executive Director of ICSA officially welcomed the participants. The program was inaugurated with a few words of encouragement about learning our rights through the understanding of the constitution of India and the role of citizens that motivated the participants for the sessions to follow. Mr.Uday Isaac Gnanadason, Program Coordinator of Dr A.K. Tharien Chair addressed the gathering and introduced the objectives of the workshop, which was followed by a brief presentation of ICSA and its programs.

Madhana Rekha; 'Right to Clean Administration' by Adv. Mr. Jayaram Venkatesan (Co-Founder and Convener of Arappor Iakkam& Founder Magasool); RTI & RTE by Mr. Nakkeeram (Anti corruption activist and core team members of Arappor Iakkam); 'Management Of Time & Talents' by Rev. Dr. Krubha Lily Elizabeth, ordained pastor of the CSI Madras Diocese; 'Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities & the Role of the Government' by Dr. Aiswarya Rao (Disability Rights Activist); 'The Role of International Justice Mission in India – Human Trafficking & Bonded Labour' by Mrs. Anitha Santharaj(Community Partnership Manager IJM); 'Hindu Understanding of Equality' by Rev. Dr. S. Robertson (Principle of Bethel Bible College); A 'Call for Action' by Dr Jagat R Santra (Principal OCT College Odisha). Mr. Uday Isaac Gnanadason was the Program Coordinator ICSA - Dr.A.K.Tharien Chair for Reconciliation who had organised the programme.
